Philippe SCHMIDT was born in Pully (VD) Switzerland, on 25 May 1953. He has been married since 1979. After obtaining a Federal Matura A (Latin-Greek) in Geneva and Fribourg in 1972, he studied economics and law at the HSG in St Gallen and then at the University of Geneva.

He obtained a degree in commercial and industrial sciences in 1977 and a law degree in 1980. He was admitted to the Geneva Bar in January 1983. After an internship in New York with the law firm Mandelbaum and Schweiger, he was admitted to the Geneva and Vaud bars.

In 1986, he founded the PIC VERT AGPVE Association Genevoise de Protection des Villas et de leur environnement with a few other citizens of Geneva, of which he was president for 14 years until his departure from Switzerland in 2001.

He is one of the founders of the law firm SCHMIDT, JATON & Associés where he will be a partner from 1988.

In 2006, he founded STRATEGIS SERVICES SAM in Monaco and became its Chairman and Managing Director while remaining a member of the Geneva Bar and working as a consultant for SCHMIDT, JATON & Associés.

After having pleaded for twenty years before the Geneva and Vaud Courts, Philippe SCHMIDT directs his activity and that of his companies towards advising on real estate law, company and contract law, international successions and divorces, family office, banking law and taking up residence in Switzerland and Monaco.

He founded the law firm SCHMIDT et Associés SLEX on 1er January 2019 with 3 Geneva attoneys.
